Care Connections & Supports
Trained Caregiver Coaches provide caregivers with the tools, knowledge, and emotional support they need to provide the best possible care to their loved ones while maintaining their own health and well-being. Coaching can cover communication skills, stress management, self-care and problem solving.
Caregiving can be a challenging and isolating experience, but it doesn’t have to be. Support groups provide a safe space for caregivers to connect with others who understand their unique struggles.
Caregivers may also benefit from Dementia/Alzheimer's Support and Education:
-
PAC Certified Independent Trainer. Short educational presentations and professional trainings available using the Teepa Snow Positive Approach to Care (PAC) philosophy, providing dementia related awareness, knowledge, and skill demonstration.
-
Dementia Essentials: The Dementia journey feels like navigating an unending storm of vulnerability, uncertainty and unpredictability. In these sessions you'll learn how to move dementia into your life, in a way that allows you to live with the disease, rather than being at the mercy of it. Sessions are held in Elbow Lake, Glenwood, Morris, and Wheaton.
